Andrew Verboncouer was born and raised in Green Bay, WI. A 2004 East High School graduate, Andrew continued his education and athletics at Winona State University. Andrew graduated from Winona State in December of 2008 with a Major in Business Administration and a Minor in MIS.

In 2007, Andrew was lead-blocker for running back Alex Weise who amassed close to 1500 Yards rushing on the season. During the 2007 season Andrew also carried the ball on short yardage and goaline situations. Andrew also played a role on the Kickoff Return team as a wedge-setter.
In 2008, Andrew started at fullback and played a major role in Winona States scoring attack, amassing 19 rushing touchdowns on the season, as well as 1 receiving touchdown. Andrew was also a part of the KO Return team as a wedge-setter and had a few balls kicked to him, one being his 80-yard breakaway touchdown return.
